Fosetyl aluminum is a pesticide used as a fungicide in agriculture. This plant protection product helps control various diseases, such as downy mildew, which affects grapevines. Phosphonic acid , also known as phosphorous acid residues, appears following the degradation of fosetyl aluminum.
